The Cylinder Archive [www.cylinder.de] release for May 2014: This old classical tradition, composed by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847) in with lyrics by Ernst von Feuchtersleben (1806-1849) is one the only two cylinders that the profound soprano Agnes Hermann recorded for Edison in 1906. Her recordings are today regarded of high musical value.
